Moms Who Care money!

Remember the Moms Who Care?

Well, a wonderful Mom donated $50!

The Moms Who Care used this money to

purchase much needed tennis shoes for two students!

Since school ends this week the Moms are taking a break @ school.

However, they will be hard at work making some improvements in the room!

Donations are still being accepted too & bargain shopping will continue as well!

We have big plans for next school year!

Do you work with Moms Who Care?  I hope so!

What should I do with all of these glasses?

the LIONS CLUB

Where I work... the Health Center ends up with all of the 'lost' glasses!

Even though we've announced that we have all of these - they remain unclaimed :(

We wanted to figure out a way to recycle these!

I did some research and found out the Lions Club accepts eyeglasses!

I am happy to help the Lions Club because they

have helped many of my students over the years.

Each year I have 2-3 families who apply for financial assistance

for an eye exam and glasses (if needed). 

My local Lions Club has helped all of the families I've referred!

Not only does the Lions Clubs offer help for vision needs;

they also offer assistance for: 

hearing aids, health-related services, scholarships or educational needs!

Working with this volunteer group is one of the highlights of my weeks!

I  am very thankful that the administration and school board

allow this volunteer group to help our students!

It is hard to find words to express what these Moms mean to me-

I can only imagine how difficult it is for the students to find the right words!
